My journey to midwifery began while I was in nursing school at the University of Kansas. I learned about the role of nurse-midwives in my studies and saw first hand that maternity care really needed improvement. While the path forward didn’t look easy, I knew I was being called to become a midwife. I finished nursing school in 2014 and worked as a cardiac/critical care nurse until 2018. I began my midwifery training in 2015 at Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University). While in midwifery school, I gave birth to our son Cadel in 2015 and our son Henry in 2019 at a freestanding birth center. I graduated with my masters in midwifery and became certified as a nurse-midwife in 2019. I worked as a midwife for a period of time at Immanuel Birth Co. in Topeka before joining Sacred Song Homebirth.

I have been married to my husband, Dan, since 2012 and together we have two little boys and an American Eskimo dog, Cub. We love the outdoors, traveling, listening to music, entertaining in our home, and spending time with friends and family.

I am thrilled and honored to be part of the Sacred Song team and to serve women and families in the Kansas City area.
