My journey to midwifery began almost 10 years ago in 2014 when I went to my sisters homebirth. I had a desire to serve women overseas as a missionary, and midwifery seemed like a perfect pairing. In 2015, I moved to the Philippines where I trained under 12 midwives for 2.5 years in a low resource birth center.

After graduating in the spring of 2018, I passed the board exam for NARM to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I began working at a birth center in Topeka KS and also opened my own, small practice to serve women through home birth.

I have attended more than 300 births and in 2021 I got to experience the joy of birthing at home myself when I had my daughter. I love providing the option of home birth to women who want to have autonomy and be empowered to make their own choices through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. As a Christian, I believe God is the masterful designer of pregnancy and birth; it is a wonder to witness the miracle of life!

I serve women and families in the KC metro area through Fruitful Vine Midwifery KC.
